What is Electrical Safety Testing and why might you need it?
Electrical Safety Testing is the process of testing the ability of an electrical product to operate safely in accordance with EN / ISO 60204-1 (the Low Voltage Directive standard for industrial machinery).
Whether you are a factory manager, the owner of a manufacturing facility, or work in any industry where you are responsible for the safety of your electrical equipment, it is important—and often required—that you ensure your equipment operates safely. Improving electrical safety can reduce accidents and financial losses.
If you are a manufacturer of electrical products and you want to prove that your product operates safely with a CE Mark certification, you may be interested in our CE Marking service for Electrical Equipment.
What Electrical Equipment Do We Test?
We test electrical equipment and/or parts of electrical equipment with nominal supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V for alternating current (AC) and 500 V for direct current (DC), and nominal supply frequencies not exceeding 200 Hz.
What Do We Check?
- Safe operation and design of electrical materials and supply
- Isolation Devices
- Protection against Unauthorized, Accidental, and/or Incorrect Connection
- Protection against Electric Shock through Direct and Indirect Contact
- Protection through Isolation of Live Parts
